Our story
JUNO Institute is a Melbourne-based organisation with more than 25 years of experience working at the intersection of leadership development and community impact.
We started from a simple observation: most leadership development programs are too safe. They use simulations, case studies, and role play. They protect participants from the discomfort that real leadership requires. The result is leaders who understand the theory but have not had to apply it under genuine pressure.
JUNO was built around a different idea. What if leaders developed their skills by working with real people in real situations: people who have nothing to do with their organisation, who they have no authority over, and who need genuine help?
That is what Leadership Leap does. And it turns out, when you design a program that is genuinely useful for job seekers, it also produces genuinely better leaders. The two things are not in tension. They reinforce each other.
What makes JUNO different
Most leadership programs simulate the hard parts. JUNO is the hard part.
Leaders work with real job seekers facing real challenges. There is no script and no safety net. The difficulty is the point.
Job seekers are not actors. They are dealing with real pressure around employment. That changes how leaders show up.
The leadership capability that comes from this program is different from what you get in a training room. It comes from doing something genuinely hard and navigating it well.
The team
Company Director
Tim leads program delivery across JUNO's leadership and employment programs. With over a decade at JUNO and a background spanning corporate facilitation, community programs and his own successful business, he brings a strength-based, practical approach to every cohort he works with. Tim is a certified Allied Health Professional and holds a Master Practitioner qualification in NLP.
Community Client Relationships Manager and Senior Program Facilitator
Steph leads the delivery of Passport to Work, working directly with job seekers across the 9-session program. With decades of experience in group facilitation, vocational training and employment services, she brings a practical, encouraging approach grounded in genuine care for participant outcomes. Steph is a certified NLP Practitioner, Holistic Therapy Coach and TAE Facilitator.
Program Co-ordinator and Employment Pathways Manager
Kha keeps JUNO's programs running smoothly behind the scenes and on the ground. He coordinates participant logistics, mentor communications and session delivery across the Adaptive Leaders and Passport to Work programs, and is often the first point of contact for participants and partners alike.
Our partners
JUNO works with organisations across the corporate, community and employment services sectors.
JUNO has partnered with ANZ to deliver the Coaching Clinic internally, hosted at their venue and tailored to their team. ANZ was the first corporate partner to adopt the model that now sits at the heart of JUNO's in-house delivery.
BSL partners with JUNO to refer participants into Passport to Work through their Youth and Adult Transitions team in the Hume and Broadmeadows corridor. The partnership connects some of the community's most disadvantaged job seekers with JUNO's strengths-based program.
Banksia Gardens is a JUNO delivery partner for Passport to Work, connecting job seekers in the Broadmeadows community with the program. JUNO and Banksia Gardens also collaborate on broader community employment initiatives across the Hume region.
JUNO and Essendon FC share a commitment to community. The partnership focuses on aligning EFC's community reach with JUNO's employment and leadership programs across the northern suburbs.
Hume City Council promotes and supports JUNO's Passport to Work program through the Hume Joblink platform, connecting local job seekers with the program across each intake. JUNO is also an active member of the Hume Employment and Learning Committee.
Workskil is a Workforce Australia employment service provider and JUNO delivery partner for Passport to Work across their job seeker cohort. The partnership is formalised through a delivery contract renewed annually.
JUNO has partnered with NAB for over 10 years to deliver leadership development programs focused on Adaptive Leadership, now delivered as Leadership Leap. NAB leaders have engaged with the program at every level, building the kind of leadership the bank's people and communities need.
KPMG has been a long-standing Leadership Leap partner, with leaders engaging in the Adaptive Leadership program for over a decade. For a period around 2015, the program was used as a formal pathway to partnership within the firm.
Monash partners with JUNO to deliver Hopeful Horizons, a full-day version of the Job Search Trap that brings together local providers, businesses, and education partners to support job seekers with everything they need to know about finding work.
Bupa hosts JUNO's Mock Interview Workshop at least twice a year, with their Talent Acquisition team stepping in as interview panellists for JUNO job seekers. It's a win for everyone: job seekers get real interview practice and Bupa's team sharpens their skills at the same time.
SRLA is a Leadership Leap partner, with around five of their people engaging in the Adaptive Leadership program each year. The partnership reflects a shared belief in developing leaders who lead from who they are, not just what they know.
